Our Story
We are Richard and Kendra, the husband and wife creators of Rich Reptile Encounters. Richard’s lifelong love of nature and animals began when he started raising a variety of animals over 30 years ago. Kendra’s experience was limited to dogs, a hamster and a rat. Then she married Richard. Over the years she learned to enjoy their growing collection of scaly friends. Together we’ve found joy in sharing that passion with our children—and soon after, with friends and neighbors. There’s something truly special about the moment someone holds or pets a reptile and lights up with excitement. We’ve seen firsthand how our animals can bring joy, spark curiosity, and even ease stress or anxiety. That’s why we started this journey—to share those meaningful experiences with others, one reptile encounter at a time.
